Electrical Services
The Government set out Regulations (PART P of the building regulations) as to what Electrical Work can be carried out.
These state that certain items of electrical can be carried out by a competent person, and those that need to be carried out by a Register person.
Norton Handyman is fully trained and has the equipment to complete work as defined by the Government as a competent person,
i.e. someone who has the training and the qualifications to carry out 'basic' electrical work.
This includes adding socket outlets and lights to existing circuits along with fused spurs, and replacing existing light fitting/socket facilities.
Minimum charge is £40, which includes travelling time & mileage, and the 1st hours labour.
Norton Handyman is also qualified to carry out diagnostic work/ electrical problem solving work
Minimum charge is £50, which includes travelling time & mileage to site, and includes the 1st hours labour.
Norton Handyman continues to work with regulatory authorities to gain Registered Person status.
In the future, Norton Handyman wishes to gain the appropriate authority to be able to install new circuits and to carry out consume unit (or as they are commonly know 'fuse box') replacement.
Once this is complete Norton Handyman will be able to offer a complete domestic electrical service, from fault finding, maintenance of, extension of and installation of new electrical circuits to consumer unit replacement and full requires.
